Don't Hurry, Don't Worry! How to feel Calm!
We hurry and we worry constantly about things that often never happen. In this podcast episode of Get Real with The English Sisters we discuss how often when we stop more and take the time to smell the roses, we feel calmer and more grounded. When we realise that the time we have on this planet is a short visit and we slow down somehow time expands and it is a lot better for our mental health. You can be rushing around and have a calm mind as when you are in a calm state of mind. As the famous quote goes by Walter Hagen - ‘You are only here for a short visit don’t hurry don’t worry and be sure to smell the flowers along the way’ When you go about your day with purpose and meaning even menial, boring tasks can take on a positive meaning. When you take a deep breath and chill for a couple of seconds it can make the world of difference to you and those around you. When you focus on something that makes you smile and you breathe in and out properly and think of the flower or the thing that makes you smile you can feel calm and expand time. When we take a few moments to feel grateful and enjoy the small pleasures of life, living in the present moment. When you have a laugh and a little mantra like Don't Hurry, don't worry. Keep a calm mind whilst hurrying around if you have to hurry. You will find that your productivity will increase and your mind will feel like a "calm garden". Your breathing will be deeper your mind will feel clearer and you will have positive endorphins flowing through you. The added benefit is that your cheerful, kind disposition will be a kind of magic!
